Jobs at US startups, for India's top talent. From a recruiter who actually replies.
I'm AJ (Aparajita Roy Gupta). I've hired in India for 12+ years, and now I work independently with funded US startups and YC companies building their India teams. Join my talent network and I'll introduce you only to roles that fit, and only after we've spoken.

Most recruiters work the numbers. You end up being one.
If you've looked for a job in tech in India, you already know how it goes.
Silence after the call
You send your CV, take the call, and never hear back. No yes, no no, no reason.
Spray and pray
The same generic job lands in your inbox, a role nowhere near your level or your skills.
You're a slot to fill
Your goals, your notice period and why you're looking never come up. It's all transactional.
Working for the employer only
Most recruiters are paid to close the role, not to ask whether it's right for you.
Feedback that never comes
You interview, then find out the result weeks later, if ever.
I work independently, so I can be honest with both sides
I'm not part of a big agency with quotas to hit. I only introduce people I'd put my name to, and I expect the same care from you.
What you can expect from me
- I read your profile myself. No bots auto-matching, no keyword blasting.
- I only introduce you to roles that fit your profile, your level and what you want. Fewer introductions, better ones.
- We speak before I match you, so I understand your goals, your pay expectations and your notice period.
- You always have a say. Say yes or pass on any opportunity, and you owe me no explanation.
- Straight feedback, on time, on the channel you prefer: WhatsApp, email, phone or LinkedIn.
- I never share your details with a company without asking you first.
What I ask of you
- Be honest about what you want, your pay expectations and your notice period.
- Show up. No ghosting on calls or interviews. If plans change, tell me early.
- Reply to me, even if it's a no, thanks. One line is enough.
- Keep your profile current, so my matches stay accurate.
It goes both ways because it has to. Companies get a recruiter who sends serious candidates. You get one who respects your time.
I hold companies to the same standard
I vet the startups I work with: real funding, real hiring intent, and a team that gives feedback. A company that goes quiet, drags its decisions or can't tell me what the role needs gets deprioritised, and I won't send you into that process. If something changes on their side, I'll tell you plainly.
Funded US startups, building in India
Venture-backed US startups, YC companies and other US companies setting up their India presence. The hiring managers are mostly in the US, and the teams are in India, remote or hybrid depending on the role.
I don't name a company until a match is serious, because I protect both sides. And I'm curating, not mass-matching: I need to understand you first, so every introduction is one I'd stand behind.
Remote and hybrid jobs at US startups, from interns to leaders
Top talent at every stage: interns and first-job graduates, mid-level builders and experienced leaders. Strong colleges and strong teams count, and so does having built something impressive the hard way. That's why the form asks about your college and degree.

Four steps, and you stay in control
- STEP 1
Join the network
Fill in the 2 minute form, or upload your CV and I'll fill it in for you.
- STEP 2
I review it myself
I read every profile. If you fit the roles I hire for, I'll reach out. Not everyone will be a match, and I'll be honest about that.
- STEP 3
We talk first
A short call so I understand what you want before I match you with anyone.
- STEP 4
A warm introduction
If a role fits and the company is interested, I introduce you. You can say yes or pass. I stay with you through interviews, feedback and the offer.
An honest note: joining the network is the first step, not a promise of a job. I match people carefully, so not every profile gets an introduction right away. When there isn't a fit yet, you stay in the network and I'll reach out when there is.
In their words
“AJ was honest about the role, the team and the pay from the first call. She kept me updated at every step, which almost never happens.”
“She understood what I was looking for better than most hiring managers. The role she brought me was exactly the right next step.”
Questions candidates ask
Be introduced, not just applied for.
